Centre Administrator | Cork (Hybrid) | 6 Months | €39,827

Your new company

Your new employer is a leading national institute where world-class research teams drive innovation with real-world impact. This organisation transforms breakthrough ideas into tangible value for the Irish economy. They now require a Centre Administrator to join their team on a 6-month basis.

Your new role

The Centre Administrator plays a key role in managing day-to-day administrative operations, supporting the commercial, business development, and marketing teams, and assisting the Head of Centre in establishing effective systems. Responsibilities include KPI monitoring, handling complex queries, coordinating meetings with precise minute-taking, and maintaining commercial awareness to enhance team performance. The role also oversees Salesforce CRM administration, facilitates board and stakeholder engagement, manages budgets and procurement, and processes expenses. It involves organising travel, accommodation, seminars, and visitor arrangements, as well as liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth operations across quality, safety, and IT. The administrator supports centre-led events and initiatives, maintains confidentiality, ensures policy and regulatory compliance, and develops efficient documentation systems. Flexibility to provide cross-functional support and take on additional duties is essential.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have five years of experience in a similar administrative position, with a third-level qualification in a relevant field. A professional, discreet, and efficient approach is essential, along with a warm, client-facing manner shaped by experience in sales or marketing operations. Supporting senior executives will come naturally, with proven ability at managing diaries, planning travel, and preparing executive reports. Hands-on familiarity with CRM systems, especially Salesforce, as well as purchasing platforms and financial administration in demanding environments is expected. Strong written communication, digital fluency with platforms like Microsoft Office, Survey Monkey, and Eventbrite, and the ability to quickly adapt to new tools are important assets. Organisational and interpersonal strength, flexibility under pressure, and a customer-focused mindset will help navigate tight deadlines and complex tasks. The ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and influence outcomes within a matrix organisation.
