Your New Company
Your new company is a Semi-State body that operates nationally and is responsible for some of Ireland’s key transport infrastructure. They have offices nationwide and are currently going through a sustained period of growth. The Structures Technical Office is undertaking major renewal / maintenance structures projects around the country.

Your New Role & Purpose
Your new role as a CAD Technician is to join a busy team undertaking crucial renewal and maintenance projects. The main responsibility is to assist in preparing, modifying, and reviewing structural drawings for railway bridges, stations, tunnels, and civil engineering structures using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.
Additional duties are to deliver assigned works to the authorised budget, time, quality and scope by:
  • Interpret existing structural drawings, surveys, and inspection reports to support refurbishment, strengthening, and maintenance projects.
  • Develop detailed reinforcement, steelwork, and connection designs for railway structures.
  • Ensure compliance with railway industry standards, Eurocodes, and BS codes.
  • Maintain and organise CAD files, engineering records, and project documentation

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • You must have 3 +years of experience in structural drafting or engineering support.
  • You must have proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D).
  • You must have a basic knowledge of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
Desirable
Prior experience in a railway infrastructure firm or construction-related projects

You will be remunerated on a strong salary. This salary is budgeted up to €53’000 per annum and this is solely based on your experience.
You will also have 20 days annual leave and 10 paid Bank Holidays per year.
