Business Support Analyst | Temp | Cork City (Hybrid) | 50K

Your new company

You will be joining a major national organisation responsible for operating critical infrastructure that supports Ireland’s energy system. The organisation is known for its modern, forward-looking approach, strong investment in innovation, and a supportive working environment. You’ll be part of a specialist operational team that plays an essential role in ensuring smooth interactions between key industry stakeholders.

Your new role

As a Business Support Analyst, you will support a busy operations team responsible for managing day-to-day interactions with large industry customers. This is a varied and engaging role where you will:

  • Assist with the review and development of business processes
  • Support operational resilience activities, including cyber‑readiness procedures
  • Manage financial documentation and support financial security processes
  • Analyse operational issues logged in CRM systems and assist with KPI reporting
  • Liaise with internal teams including Legal, Finance, Engineering and other operational groups
  • Support onboarding processes for new industry participants
  • Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements and internal projects
  • Take on additional duties aligned with your strengths and learning pace.
This role offers excellent exposure to a highly regulated industry and the opportunity to build strong cross-functional relationships.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will be a third‑level graduate in Business, Finance, Engineering, IT or a related field, with at least 2–3 years’ experience in an operational, business support or administrative environment. You’ll be highly organised, comfortable managing a varied workload, and able to communicate clearly and confidently with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be naturally curious, quick to grasp complex concepts, and proactive in seeking clarity, asking questions and following tasks through to completion. A self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a small, supportive team, you’ll bring strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to work through challenges with guidance. Strong digital capability is important, and while experience with CRM systems or Power BI is beneficial, full training will be provided.

What you'll get in return

  • A hybrid working model (2 days on-site / 3 days remote)
  • Hands-on training and strong onboarding support
  • Exposure to a complex operational and regulatory environment
  • Opportunities to learn, broaden your skill set and gain valuable industry experience
  • The chance to contribute to meaningful operational and process‑improvement work
