A qualified Accountant is needed to assist in the implementation of a Microsoft FMS system.

Your new company
You will work with a Public Sector body that has multiple sites across Ireland. The position can be based out of Cork, Dublin or Galway (Hybrid).

Your new role
You will work on the implementation of a Financial Management System for the duration of the implementation, including go-live and post-go-live activities, estimated to be 9 months.
The new Financial Management System (FMS), which is a Microsoft cloud-based called Business Central system in accordance with the defined “To Be Process”.

The “To-Be process” will include the following
- Process flows
- Standard operating procedures
- Reference to input/output document or trigger events
- Responsibilities and task ownership
- Control/decision activities
- Reference to whether it's manual/or automated
- Procedures & Policies update

This role will play a key and vital role in each phase of the implementation, detailed as follows.
Implementation (Including Testing, Data Migration and Training)
The Business Analyst will work closely with the project stakeholders from business functions to define respective plans re the implementation phase for the below key activities:
Testing
  • Provide support in the planning with the Testing Team re: Building functional test scenarios and cases
  • Ensuring that all additional business requirements resulting from change requests are reflected in the update of the migration plan and execution
  • Ensure traceability of requirements as owners of the requirements
  • Support with the development of test cases with end users and the IT team
  • Support with the integration testing to confirm that the system supports the end-to-end business processes, that data was accurately converted, and that the system is ready for Go-Live from a business process point of view
Data Migration
  • Update suite of data migration templates with live data for upload to FMS live environment
  • Validate and report data reconciliation results with business stakeholders
Training
  • Review of the training curriculum/materials.
  • Hold checkpoint meetings to ensure that all required changes are reflected and materials are amended accordingly
  • Ongoing knowledge transfer to Business Analysts, Subject-Matter Experts (SME) and system user group as required.
Go Live Plan/Checklist
Data Migration
Validate and report data reconciliation results with business stakeholders
System Cut-Over Activities
Work with system Provider and finance team to resolve all system cut over related issues
Post Go Live
  • Work with system Provider and the finance team to resolve all post-go-live system issues
  • Develop User Process & Procedure documents reflecting new FMS operational steps
  • Finalise all user training material from Provider
  • Roll out any residual user training as required.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be a qualified accountant or hold an appropriate ICT Business Analyst qualification in financial system implementation.

What you'll get in return
A salary upto €75k working on a hybrid basis.
