Business Analyst (Senior & Junior) and Transact Functional Expert - SME Digital Credit Programme (CLMP)
6 months rolling contract
3 days on-site mandatory

Programme Overview

We are seeking experienced Senior Business Analysts, Junior Business Analysts, and Transact Functional Experts to support the CLMP Programme. This strategic initiative aims to enable SME customers to apply online for credit products (e.g., term loans), integrated with DBB and nCino platforms, with a target go-live in Q1 2027.
The programme focusses on digitising the SME lending journey, improving customer experience, and reducing manual intervention across banking operations.

Your new role

Role 1: Senior Business Analyst
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions, and requirement gathering activities
  • Own and drive define and design phases of the project lifecycle
  • Lead complex business and functional design discussions
  • Manage senior stakeholders and ensure alignment across business and technology teams
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior analysts; may lead a BA team
  • Drive decision-making in high-ambiguity environments and resolve delivery blockers
  • Oversee production of key artefacts (BRDs, functional designs, RTMs, governance documents)
  • Support integration across multiple systems and domains
Experience & Skills
  • 7+ years’ experience working on complex transformation or technology projects
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proven ability to own end-to-end design decisions
  • Experience across both business and technology domains
  • Comfortable working with legacy systems and regulatory constraints

Role 2: Junior Business Analyst
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and support workshops for smaller or less complex workstreams
  • Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements
  • Support process mapping, gap analysis, and documentation activities
  • Assist in business acceptance testing (UAT) and business readiness activities
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements
  • Maintain traceability and documentation standards
Experience & Skills
  • 3+ years of business analysis experience
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Experience supporting workshops and stakeholder discussions
  • Exposure to testing (UAT) and change readiness activities
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a complex programme environment

Role 3: Transact Functional Expert
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the functional design for corporate and syndicated lending products within Transact
  • Lead decisions on company/book structures, jurisdictional separation (ROI, UK, NI, US), and legal entity modelling
  • Act as the primary integration point across Credit, Accounts, Customer, Payments, and downstream systems
  • Resolve complex functional issues including:
    • Holiday calendars
    • Rollovers and revaluations
    • Overdue processing logic
    • CIF/region validation
    • Sort codes and account structures
  • Produce high-quality design and governance documentation for Design Authority
  • Engage with Temenos product and architecture teams to review and close BRDs and functional use cases
  • Conduct data analysis and impact assessments to support design decisions
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex issues, ambiguity, and legacy constraints
Experience & Skills
  • Strong experience in core banking platforms, particularly Temenos Transact
  • Deep knowledge of corporate and syndicated lending
  • Proven ability to lead and own complex functional design decisions
  • Strong understanding of banking product structures and system integrations
  • Ability to work across business and technical teams effectively

Core Business Analysis Capabilities (All Roles)
All candidates must demonstrate experience in:
  • Requirements elicitation, documentation, validation, and prioritisation
  • Process mapping and process re-engineering
  • Gap analysis (As-Is and To-Be)
  • High-level solution design
  • Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) preparation
  • BA planning and tracking
  • Workshop facilitation
Preferred Certifications:
  • ECBA / CCBA / CBAP or equivalent recognised BA certification
Preferred Skills (All Roles)
  • Experience with digital lending platforms (e.g., nCino)
  • Familiarity with core banking systems (e.g., Temenos Transact)
  • Agile delivery experience
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach
