As Bid Writer, you will join a reputable family-owned construction company with a global reach in Dublin West. Your new office is conveniently located and is accessible via public transport and by driving. Your new company requires you to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As Bid Writer, you will support the creation of high‑quality, compelling, and fully compliant bid submissions across your new employer's civil engineering and construction projects.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Prepare, compile, and format high-quality tender submissions for civil construction projects, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with client requirements and tender specifications.
- Develop tailored bid responses that address the unique requirements of each project, including project timelines, cost estimates, delivery methodologies, and quality standards.
- Ensure all tender submissions comply with relevant legal, regulatory, technical, and contractual requirements, as well as client and industry standards
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, estimators, and multidisciplinary teams to gather accurate, current, and relevant project information for tender submissions.
- Conduct detailed research on project-specific requirements, including site conditions, scope of works, client expectations, and key delivery considerations.
- Monitor industry developments, market trends, pricing benchmarks, and competitor activity to enhance bid quality and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Stakeholder & Supplier Coordination
- Quality & compliance assurance
What you'll need to succeed
- A relevant third-level qualification in Journalism, English, Communications, Creative Writing, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional written communication and editing skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information and present it in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, coupled with a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand, evaluate, and communicate technical and project-specific information.
