Your new company

Your new company is a long‑established and reputable Dublin-based Accounting Practice. They are seeking a new Audit Manager to join their collaborative audit team. The firm offers a broad and varied client base across multiple sectors, including audit, non‑audit and sole trader clients, and has been delivering high‑quality accountancy services for over 30 years.


Your new role

In your new role as Audit Manager you will; get fully involved with audits, planning and managing the end-to-end process. You will work collaboratively with your team and work alongside company directors. You will be the 'go-to' for your clients and cultivate long-lasting working relationships. As audit manager, you will coach and develop your team of trainees and seniors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the end-to-end process of audit and non‑audit assignments to ensure high-quality delivery
  • Managing client relationships and coordinating cross‑departmental service delivery
  • Providing training and guidance to trainee accountants
  • Preparing and presenting reports to clients and partners
  • Preparing and completing audit and audit‑exempt financial statements
  • Preparing Corporation Tax returns, including IXBRL files, for review
  • Preparing budgets and cash flow projections
  • Managing client, bank, Revenue and other stakeholder queries, including Revenue audits
  • Preparing paperless working papers and financial statements in line with relevant standards
  • Investigating issues on assignments and proposing solutions
  • Ensuring assignments are delivered within budget and agreed timeframes
  • Supporting the achievement of portfolio fee targets
  • Preparing technical briefs and checklists for staff and clients

What you'll need to succeed

  • Be ACA / ACCA qualified, with experience as an Audit Manager or Assistant Manager
  • Strong technical knowledge of Accounting and Auditing Standards
  • Currently operating at senior level in a practice environment
  • Experience supervising assignments and managing client relationships
  • Some tax experience is desirable.
  • High levels of accuracy, critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships
  • Ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines and remain resilient under pressure
  • Professional integrity and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
