Your new company

This retail industry giant are well known throughout the market, and are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team based in Lucan, initially for a 12 month contract but with potential for extension or permanency. This company have an incredibly strong market presence and outstanding finance team in place, offering a great opportunity to learn and develop throughout the course of the contract. They operate a hybrid working policy and have second to none training in place.

Your new role

This role will focused on management accounting and offer excellent exposure across other business functions. Within the sales business you will :

• Preparation of monthly and quarterly accounts

• Profit and Loss
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Cashflow reporting
• Journal posting
• Preparing group financial reporting
• General accounts admin and vendor management and more

What you'll need to succeed

You will have 3+ years experience working in a similar role, ideally within the retail or hospitality industry, or another fast-paced, high-sales business.

• To be considered, you must have :
• Previous working knowledge of management account preparation within the Irish market, and a clear understanding of Irish financial laws and legislation
• Part Qualified - ACCA / CIMA or similar
• Ability to work well on your own initiative and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills with fluent written and spoken English
• Full working rights in Ireland - relevant Visa or EEA passport
• Exposure to NAV or Oracle an advantage but not required.
