Accounts Payable Associate - Shannon - Hybrid - Attractive Salary and Benefits

You will be joining a well‑established organisation with a centralised Shared Services Centre (SSC) responsible for delivering efficient, high‑quality back‑office support across the wider group. Your new role
- Timely and accurate processing of invoices, credit notes, and account statements
- Ensuring full compliance with VAT, RCT, PSWT, ERR, and all statutory requirements
- Processing supplier payments on a regular basis
- Coordinating and completing month‑end close activities and reconciliations
- Adhering to company AP month‑end close procedures
- Completing supplier reconciliations in line with agreed processes
- Proactively resolving queries, ensuring timely turnaround and escalating where required
- Providing assistance and cover for other SSC team members as needed
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
- Supporting internal and external audit requirements when required
- Assisting with ad‑hoc analysis and one‑off projects
- Supporting the risk management process
- Undertaking any additional duties as assigned
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a high‑volume accounts environment
- Strong experience within the Accounts Payable function
- Candidates qualified through experience in a similar role will be considered
- Experience working with an ERP system (Oracle/Yardi preferred)
- Ability to meet deadlines, coordinate activities, and escalate risks or issues appropriately
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines and take a hands‑on approach
- Demonstrable analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to proactively identify issues and propose effective solutions
- Strong ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across the business
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on business needs
- Self‑starter with the confidence to use initiative
