Experienced AP specialist required for North Dublin FMCG – 40k – Permanent – Hybrid – Own transport required

Your new company

This large FMCG group have been operational in the Irish market for a long time, and have become a well known brand over the past decade. They are continuing to grow their shared services based in North County Dublin and are seeking an experienced AP specialist to join the team. This role is not based near a bus or train route so candidates applying must have access to their own transport or they will be unable to go forward.

Your new role

As part of the Accounts Payable team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and timely processing of payments and reconciliations across multiple business units. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing bank payments in Euro, GBP, and USD for all business units, including BOLs and CAPS.
  • Processing intercompany payments and preparing weekly and month-end bank reconciliations involving high transaction volumes.
  • Completing month-end creditor reconciliations for the Head Office business unit.
  • Coordinating and executing weekly supplier payment runs, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Verifying new suppliers and amendments via the internal Masterdata system.
  • Uploading, matching, and processing supplier invoices for Head Office and Knowledge business units using SAP Concur.
  • Generating weekly reports from SAP Concur to monitor invoice and PO approval queues.
  • Investigating and resolving supplier queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Supporting the preparation of accounts for payment and assisting the AP Team Lead with month-end close activities.
  • Participating in cross-training to support team coverage during holidays and onboarding of new team members.
  • Maintaining high service standards within the AP team and fostering strong relationships with finance teams across business units.
  • Providing reception cover when required and handling other ad hoc duties as assigned by management.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 2+ Years experience in a fast-paced AP role
  • ATI qualification or interest in studying further (ACCA) or similar
  • Familiarity with Sun or SAP advantageous.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and ability to work independently.
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Full working rights in Ireland
