Your new role

• Process accounts payable invoices and credit notes, ensuring accurate matching to purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Resolve price and quantity variances and ensure correct posting.
• Liaise with purchasers and goods-in teams to investigate and resolve invoice or PDN discrepancies.
• Code and enter invoices into the accounting system with correct general ledger allocation.
• Raise and follow up on credit requests for pricing/quantity discrepancies or returns.

• Liaise with the Financial Controller and Head of Procurement regarding payment requirements.
• Maintain an up-to-date log of payment requests received via email or telephone.
• Prepare daily batch payment runs and transactions.
• Reconcile monthly payments and post them to the accounting system.
• Monitor daily supplier payments and support cash flow forecasting.

• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve outstanding issues.
• Maintain and reconcile the creditors control account.
• Prepare month-end accruals.
• Assist the Financial Controller with additional month-end tasks as required.

• Reconcile all creditor accounts to statements and prepare detailed accruals.
• Respond to auditor queries and prepare supporting documentation.
• Assist with year-end closing activities.

• Prepare and submit monthly Intrastat reports to Revenue.

What you'll need to succeed

• 3+ years or more experience in a similar role

• Accounting qualification is beneficial
