Public Sector AP administrator

Are you looking for an opportunity to work in a public sector position for six months and grow your AP experience within a busy finance function? My client is based in Galway city and searching for 1-2 new individuals to support his team on a contracted basis through Hays recruitment.

Your Duties:

  • Management of the AP inbox ensuring incoming e-mails are dealt with in an efficient manner
  • Receiving, verifying and processing invoices on the financial system
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to queries
  • Liaising with colleagues and managers for invoice approval and resolution of any issues

Your Skillset:

  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Excellent and accurate data entry skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office: Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Professional telephone manner.

Experience needed:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • 1-2 years experience within finance administration or AP
  • Business or finance degree is a bonus but not essential

Additional Information:

  • Position is based fully on-site
  • Working hours are standard 9-5
