Accounts Assistant required for SME based in Dublin Port. €38,000. Excellent development potential. Hybrid

Your new company

This manufacturing company have been operational over half a decade, with a strong presence in the Irish market and a well established client base. With an office based in Dublin 1, near the Port, they are seeking an accounts assistant to join the team. This role offers great scope for growth and development for someone seeking to kickstart their career or grow their opportunities.

Your new role

This company have a small finance team with each person working together towards their shared goal. As a result, your duties will be varied and offer great insight into all facets of accounts.

Your duties will include but not be limited to :
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Collections calling
  • Vendor set up
  • Bank and account reconciliation
  • Journal posting
  • Assisting the FC with month-end and year-end accounts preparation
  • Staff expense processing
  • Travel arrangements
  • Phone line management
  • Other ad-hoc office duties such as visor greeting, meeting set up, general filing and office management, stock ordering and more


What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you will have :

  • At least 1 year's experience in a similar role within an Irish SME
  • ATI, Finance degree or diploma or similar desired
  • Knowledge of debit and credit management
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and experience working to deadlines
  • Go-getter attitude with willingness to learn and develop
  • Ability to work well on your own initiative

The salary offered for this position is up to €38,000.

The company do operate a hybrid policy following successful training, which offers 2 days from home. The head office is based near Dublin port, with free parking for those driving. The port also have a complimentary shuttle bus for staff of the various companies from a number of locations, including near the 3 Arena in Dublin.
