Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant - South Dublin - Salary up to €43,000

Your new role

As Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role within the finance team, providing professional support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation functions.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Processing payroll
  • Administering prepaid debit cards
  • Managing cash receipts and analysing card payments
  • Completing bank reconciliations
  • Maintaining company registers (capex, floats, contracts)
  • Assisting with grant applications
  • Administering annual rebates
  • Supporting management accounts and audit requests
  • Rotating duties with colleagues to ensure business continuity
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with staff, volunteers, and suppliers, contributing to the smooth financial operation of a national organisation.


What you'll need to succeed

Essential:
  • A diploma‑level education
  • At least 1 year’s experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and cloud based finance software
  • A full clean driving licence
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with staff and volunteers
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, adapt to changing needs, and maintain high standards of accuracy
Desirable:
  • A finance degree or progression toward one
  • Experience in the not‑for‑profit or charity sector
  • Knowledge of the organisation’s ethos and methods
  • Experience working with or supporting volunteers
  • Natural networking ability
You will also be expected to demonstrate strong teamwork, flexibility, member focus, and initiative in line with the organisation’s behavioural framework.


What you'll get in return
