Accounting Technician required for standalone role in Swords - €45,000 - Perm - scope for growth
Your new company
This multinational pharmacuetical company are expanding their Irish presence, and are seeking an experienced Accounting technician to join the team. This organisation are well-established across the UK and are part of a larger EMEA group, offering great support and opportunity for progression. This role will largely be standalone, reporting remotely to the UK with travel required on average once or twice per quarter to the UK Head office. This organisation pride themselves on their culture across borders and maintain an open, friendly and supportive working environment.
The office is based near Dublin Airport, well serviced by various transport links with parking on site.Your new role
Your duties will include but not be limited to :
- Production of monthly management accounts for Ireland to review stage
- Profit and loss
- Variance analysis
- End to end AP management : PO and non-PO processing, liaison with suppliers, set up of new accounts, addressing any queries or discrepancies, processing payment runs
- VAT and other tax returns
- Audit preparation
- General finance admin and other ad-hoc duties
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must have the below
- Previous experience related to the above duties, with strong end-to-end AP experience and knowledge of month-end account production
- Self-starter with the ability to work well on your own initiative
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience working with external suppliers
- ATI or similar qualification
- Full eligibility to work in Ireland (EEA passport or relevant visa)
- Ability to commit to travel : this role features semi-frequent travel to the UK and also 2 weeks of travel per annum outside of the HQ visits. Should this not suit or an applicant cannot commit to travel, they will not be brought forward for interview.
