A Maintenance Technician is required in Galway for an immediate start (elec/mech & electronics experience).

Your new company

The successful maintenance technician, who will be working in Galway on a single site, will be responsible for the installation, support, maintenance, overhaul, adjustment and modification of in-house computer and machine systems throughout the casino. This job description covers both the electrical and mechanical aspects of the Technician’s job and will require the Technician to undertake any task which is within their competence. The job will be largely focused on optimising performance and troubleshooting a variety of computer/machine issues, both hardware and software, to reduce downtime.
You will act as a technical resource to assist non-technical staff in resolving and explaining issues to the customer, as required. You will demonstrate the correct and continual use of all company procedures, systems and documents. You will participate in company-wide continuous improvement initiatives. You will demonstrate the correct and continual use of all recording and reporting systems in all related matters (e.g., breakdowns, maintenance etc.). You will assist with the training of technicians as required. You will demonstrate and ensure high standards of Health & Safety are maintained. You may be required to travel to other casino locations at times if needed.

Essential Requirements
  • Industry-specific experience is not required.
    Slot machines are PC-based machines with touchscreen monitors and external peripherals.
  • 1 or more years of repair experience in a relevant role or repair centre experience (relating to PC, laptop, smartphone and tablet repair, New PC/custom PC builds) or Electronic qualification
  • A genuine interest in technology.
  • Must have the ability to solder and replace chips/caps on PCs and electronic boards.
  • Experience in electronics debugging and fault-finding.
  • A full clean driving licence/car, although not essential, is a plus.
