Company Accountant Job - Kildare - Hybrid Job

A global distribution group based in Co. Kildare, with sales operations in Ireland for over 50 years. An exciting opportunity has opened up in the finance team due to an internal career progression opportunity for the current company accountant, leaving this role open for a detail-oriented and adaptable qualified accountant to come in and make their mark.

This role will evolve into a Financial Controller role over time and so it will suit a driven individual.

Your new role
Reporting the the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts to trial balance, for review by the FD
  • Overseeing the management of accounts payable and receivable team and duties
  • Carry out monthly payment runs and expenses
  • Cashflow management
  • Ensure full IFRS compliance for audits and financial statements
  • Work closely with the FD and senior management team to identify and implement cost-saving measures
  • Continuous assessment and implementation of process improvements to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy
  • Oversee payroll department and ensure monthly payroll and employee benefits are accurate
  • Monthly and quarterly tax compliance and statutory return filing on ROS
  • Handle pension contributions and queries

What you'll need to succeed
  • You must be a fully qualified accountant with minimum 2 years' PQE in industry
  • You must have meticulous attention to detail and strive for 100% accuracy.
  • You must be adaptable to different communication styles and managing queries from different stakeholders across the business
  • Knowledge of payroll, pension and benefits
  • Solution-driven attitude and ability to adapt in a busy environment
What you'll get in return
You will get a salary of between €65,000 - €70,000, potential flexibility for the right candidate, plus a bonus of up to €10k and benefits including pension, healthcare, 21 days AL (increasing with service), free parking and hybrid working (3 days in office and 2 days at home). With the opportunity to progress to Financial Controller, career development will be on the table in this role long-term.
