Business Analyst - Cybersecurity Experience -Fixed Term 2 years-Dublin

What you'll be working on
As a Business Analyst – Cybersecurity Analyst in the public sector, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business and technical requirements for cybersecurity initiatives. You’ll map processes to identify risks and inefficiencies, recommend security improvements, and support compliance with standards like ISO 27001, NIS2, and GDPR. Additionally, you’ll develop and execute test scripts, coordinate user testing, and ensure solutions meet business needs and are defect-free.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need :
Skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Proficiency in business process mapping and risk identification
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Ability to develop and execute test plans and scripts
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR)
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Analysis, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer).
Experience
  • Proven experience in a business analysis or cybersecurity analyst role
  • Hands-on involvement in cybersecurity projects or initiatives
  • Experience supporting compliance audits and regulatory assessments
  • Background in the public sector or highly regulated environments is advantageous.
  • Track record of coordinating user acceptance testing and validating technical solutions
