Senior Accountant Role - Pharma MNC - Galway - Hybrid - Excellent benefits

Your new company

Your new company is one of the global leaders in generic pharmaceutical manufacturing, production, R&D and distribution for both human and animal health. Exporting to over 80 countries worldwide and employing more than 700 employees in sites across the world, the company is embarking on an exponential growth and upscaling phase which will undoubtedly lead to huge internal opportunities. The company is renowned for their commitment to working to the highest ethical and regulatory standards and have also made huge advances in terms of their internal working culture, becoming one of the best places to work for professionals in manufacturing across the Western region.

Your new role

You will sit on the Financial Operations team, working extensively with manufacturing and production departments with touchpoints across the organisation. This is very much a hands-on role and there will be a significant amount of cost and management accounting and a need to "walk the factory floor" in order to be successful in a hands-on position. In the role, you will be required to prepare detailed cost models, maintain a thorough knowledge of all products and processes within the plant, liaise with multiple key stakeholders, collect key data from various departments, analyse supplier pricing and cost of sales, calculate direct labour and overhead and analyse inventory/stock. It is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to either move across into a manufacturing cost accounting role or continue their development as there is serious potential for growth and progression within this company.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) with at least 2 years post-qualified experience in an industry role, with general manufacturing preferred. Strong analytical skills are essential for this role, as is attention to detail and an ability to think laterally and solve problems. You must also demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate as you will be liaising with a wide variety of internal stakeholders, in particular the ability to communicate complex financial data into understandable information to inform management decisions.

What you'll get in return

You will get a competitive market salary along with a comprehensive list of benefits including hybrid working (2-3 days per week on-site), full healthcare, a generous pension contribution, gym membership, annual leave up to 28 days and access to a tremendous working culture. The company is also embarking on a huge upscaling and expansion phase after receiving external investment and this will lead to increased opportunities for those inside the company.
