• Create detailed 2D CAD drawings for steel structures
• Collaborate with engineers, operations and project managers to understand project requirements.
• Modify existing designs and correct any errors.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain a database of all drawings and designs for future reference.
• Perform design analysis and calculations as needed.
• Optimise and modify designs to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Document and maintain all CAD files and associated records.
• Resolve design and development problems.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, design, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with AutoCAD software.
• Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic understanding of building design and mechanical processes.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
