A Project / Site Manager is required in Co Galway to work on a large project for a tier 1 contractor.

Our client is a leading Tier 1 main contractor in the Irish construction industry. They are now seeking to recruit a Project Manager & Site Manager for a large project in the east Galway region. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a major project offering long-term opportunities' region. You will be working on a large construction project overseeing the external / civil works. Experience of working on large pharma / data centre / industrial projects would be an advantage. Experience of civil / external works would be an advantage.

You will need:

As Site Manager / Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Ensure the client’s expectations are met by delivering a quality product to the end user while fostering professional and amicable relations with design teams and client representatives.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health & safety, quality and client service / ensuring that contracts are completed safely, per programme, on budget and snag free.
  • Report progress accurately and in a timely fashion to your manager.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring their work is completed to the required standard with little or no rework.
  • Plan, co-ordinate, execute the works and deliver the project as per contract documents.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and supply chain.
  • Resource and schedule work in line with the project construction program.
  • Work closely with the project QS, advising on any upcoming issues.
  • Must have experience in either a trade or technical background
  • Experience working with a top 20 main contractor
  • A track record of delivering multi-million projects that demand an exceptionally high quality of finish
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills are essential.
  • A good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation is needed.
  • Stable employment history (permanent or long-term contract).
  • Experience drawing up reports in relation to progress and resolving any issues that may occur
