Process Design Engineer

Upstream Process Scientist/Engineer with excellent Bio-Pharma experience with strong involvement in process design and tech transfer within Bio-Pharma plants, as well as operating link between process and automation. Currently seeking to utilise their expertise to develop their career further, ideally within a Process Engineer role that will utilise their strong Technical/Science experience and Design exposure.

After completing their academic studies, this candidate moved in to an Upstream Process Technician role involved in a variety of area's and duties including operating as the Delta V and Perfusion Bioreactor SME. They led commissioning of 4 perfusion bioreactors and cleaning validation for PPQ of bioreactor COP and IUF CIP.

They have since moved into a Process Engineer role, heavily involved in upstream process and bioreactors design. They are acting as Automation lead for any related issues and are lead in upstream single use systems (SUS).

Overall core skills & experience includes:

• Upstream Process Scientist/Engineer involved in process design and transfer as well as performing a link role between process and automation
• Working on the tech transfer project from a CMO
• DELTA V process SME
• Lead design role in single use reactors, intended as platform for numerous therapies.
• Previously involved in CQV of perfusion SS bioreactors (200L scale) as well as media vessels (5000L scale) and CIP circuits.
• Previous perfusion Bioreactor SME and team member.
• Main member of bioreactor commissioning team.
• Manufacturing (media batch, engineering batch) experience for two large international biotechnology companies.
• Skilled in disposable technologies.
• COP/SOP SME.
