Communications Manager – Stakeholder | Dublin | 12 months | €75,796 - €113,694 | Public Sector

Your new company :

As Communications Manager – Stakeholder you will join a leading Irish semi-state utility company who are responsible for the delivery and maintenance of utilities across Ireland. You will have full responsibility for delivery of the overall objectives of the directorate as they relate to key strategic stakeholder management and corporate reporting for senior internal and external stakeholders including executive and senior leadership teams, Ministers and other relevant government departments and the client’s Board . Your new office is located in Dublin and will join their team on a 12-month basis.

Your new role :

You will be responsible for developing and ensuring the strategic management of nominated stakeholder relationships, representing the client at relevant stakeholder engagements, and providing strategic advice on the implementation of water and other relevant policy and EU Directives. You will also be responsible for ensuring all day-to-day information requests related to Oireachtas business, DHLGH and Ministerial briefings are managed effectively and efficiently, and representing the client on the EurEau Communicators Forum. You will be accountable for adopting a leadership role delivering integrated 360 degree integrated strategic communications on behalf of the Corporate Affairs Team directed by evolving business needs and as defined and agreed in employees workplans, and for developing and creating highly impactful, clear and succinct, relevant communications templates including the preparation of written presentations and written documents for all communication channels including PowerPoint presentations, word documents, digital content, social media and video) for the senior leadership team. You will be responsible for leading and championing collaboration, demand and capacity management, strong adherence to clear process and documented governance for the delivery of the prioritised portfolio of Corporate Affairs work. They are also responsible for building and maintaining critical internal and external relationships to provide advice, guidance, and support on communications on behalf of the client . The individual collaborates with key internal stakeholders across the business, leads a strategic approach to the use of digital communications and research insights to adapt communications strategies and measure their success, and promotes and delivers health and safety commitments, objectives and requirements, and its supply chain. They provide visible leadership, coaching, and support to direct reports, work cross-functionally on projects or tasks as directed by the Senior Management team when required, and attend events and work out of hours as needed.

What you'll need to succeed :

The ideal candidate should have relevant third level qualification and/or accreditation, a minimum of 7 years’ experience in water, utilities or similar industries, and a proven track record in leadership, change & transformation experience, ideally in a similar utility, regulated industry or multi-stakeholder environment. They should be highly motivated, working to the highest professional standards, and have excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions at a senior level. The candidate should have experience of developing and maintaining effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, dealing with complex issues proactively and in a timely fashion, and the ability to communicate complex information to others. They should also have experience of supporting policies, systems, and controls and driving the implementation of progressive policies. Finally, the candidate should be able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions and ambiguity, generating effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations and problems as they are presented, and have a full clean driving licence.
