Payroll specialist – Dublin - Practice - Experience required – Hybrid working 50%–to 47k DOE

Your new company

This busy firm processes client payrolls across Ireland and the UK. They are expanding their Dublin operation and seeking to hire some experienced payroll professionals to join the team.
This role offers excellent scope for learning and development in a busy client services setting, where you will have excellent training and room to grow.
The office is located in South County Dublin – accessible from multiple main motorways and trainline.
This role offers 50% working from home.

Your new role

This is a client payroll position. You will work with multiple clients of varied headcount levels, processing end-to-end client payroll. To be considered, you must have previous high volume payroll experience within Ireland or for Irish companies.
  • Manage end‑to‑end payroll processing — collect data, validate inputs, run checks, process multiple payroll cycles, and ensure accurate/on‑time delivery.

  • Handle payroll queries — respond to routine and complex payroll, HR, tax, and employee questions, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance and governance — maintain adherence to Irish payroll legislation, statutory payments, GDPR, tax/social charges, pensions, insurance, and audit requirements.

  • Manage statutory leave : maternity, paternity and similar.

  • Perform year-end and period-end tasks — manage tax year-end processes, reconciliations, system control checks, and reporting.

  • Prepare payroll outputs — generate payment files, reports, cost summaries, payslips, and ad hoc exports to required deadlines.

  • Support client relationships — manage and nurture client interactions, ensuring service delivery standards and providing guidance on payroll issues.

  • Team collaboration and development — support colleagues, share knowledge, cover team members, and assist with developing team capability.


What you'll need to succeed

  • You will ideally have experience within a practice or other high volume, multiple payroll processing experience will also be considered.

  • Minimum 2 years experience working on behalf of Irish payroll clients

  • IPASS qualified desired

  • Strong payroll and revenue legislation knowledge within the Irish market
  • Exposure to UK Payroll an advantage but not required
  • Strong mathematical and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and fluent written and spoken English.
  • Full working rights for the EU
