Responsibilities
- Undertake routine inspection and servicing of site-wide electrical systems to maintain functionality and compliance.
- Identify, assess, and communicate emerging electrical issues or hazards to the Facilities Engineer for timely resolution.
- Work alongside cross-functional technical teams, including mechanical and multi-skilled staff, to maintain integrated facility systems.
- Support the upkeep of non-electrical infrastructure when qualified and appropriate, escalating issues where necessary.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and ensure all technical records are updated, stored securely, and retrievable when required.
- Offer facility-related data and updates when permitted, ensuring information is accurate and aligned with operational needs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance tickets raised through the facilities' helpdesk, troubleshoot faults, and implement efficient solutions.
- Liaise with external contractors, ensuring they’re briefed on the work required and that their service is monitored and recorded.
- Provide feedback to the Facilities Engineer regarding contractor performance and the results of any service or callout work.
- Take ownership of maintenance requests, ensuring jobs are logged, tracked, and closed out with clear documentation and follow-up.
- Ensure all scheduled and reactive tasks are completed on time and to the expected standard.
- Monitor work instructions through digital communication tools and confirm completion via internal approval processes.
- Keep structured records using digital tools or manual logs, in line with agreed protocols set by the Facilities Engineer.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- 3 – 5 years’ experience working in a professional team-based office environment
- Trade qualification
- Knowledge of Electrical systems
