Your new company

Your new organisation is a main building contractor operating out of Dublin and with over 15 active projects around the greater Leinster area, mainly in and around Dublin.
A lot of these projects consist of high-end residential apartments (150–650 units), Data Centres and high-end commercial space.
They are renowned as one of the best contractors in the industry and have a pipeline of work for the next 5+ years due to their ongoing residential and data centre presence.

They are in a period of constant expansion,
And require several finishing managers and section managers across several of their build projects.


Details of the Role

Your new role is based in Castleknock and consists of 725 apartment units in six blocks up to 14 storeys in height, a crèche, café and foodstore.
There will be 6 apartment buildings sitting above undercroft parking with Blocks 1-3 separated from Blocks 4-6 by a central public open space.
This project is due to run until 2027.

This position can either be paid on an hourly basis or on a direct salary


What you'll need to succeed

  • In order to be successful in this position, you must have previously been in a management position with a construction contractor. This can be as a lead carpenter or working foreman, for example.
  • You must have prior management experience on site of subcontractors for internal works/facade OR groundworks.
  • Having experience of residential projects is required, most notably apartment construction, is an advantage.
  • Coming from a carpentry trade background is advantageous but not essential.
  • This role will suit a long-time carpenter / working foreman or someone experienced in a Foreman / Finishing position over the last number of years.

In return for the above, you will work for a main construction contractor who values their employees and offers a clear progression path to more senior management levels. They have a great reputation within the industry and have very strong senior management in place - delivering high-profile projects.
You will work on one of Ireland's largest residential developments at present with work on this site guaranteed for the next 2 years.
You will be paid either by the hour or on a salary.

Hourly rates are in a bracket of €28 to €38 per hour (typically 45-50 hour weeks - good money to be made). This would include PAYE OR Self-Employed setup. This would also include time and a half etc.
€75,000-€95,000 on hourly rates for time worked per year

In terms of the offered salary, this would be in the region of €70,000 to €80,000 and would come with a vehicle/ trip. Pension and additional benefits are usually offered in packages of this type.
It's a great time to join their expanding organisation. There is typically a review after 6 months regarding performance and salaries/rates.
