Senior Financial Accountant – Tax & Compliance

You will be joining a leading shared services organisation that provides centralised finance and administrative support to multiple large entities within a major international group. Based in Dublin West, this organisation offers a stable, well-structured environment with strong career development opportunities. You’ll work closely with senior finance leaders and external advisors while contributing to the financial governance of several group companies.

Your new role
As the Senior Financial Accountant – Tax & Compliance, you will play a key role in managing all direct and indirect tax obligations across ROI and NI/UK. You will take ownership of VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales, VIES, RCT, CIS and corporate tax compliance, ensuring all filings are accurate and submitted on time.

You will prepare corporate tax computations, tax packs, disclosures for statutory financial statements, and quarterly US GAAP reporting. The role also involves preparing and reviewing financial statements under IFRS/FRS102, supporting annual audits, leading tax digitisation projects, enhancing internal controls, and collaborating with Directors, Senior Managers and cross-functional teams. You will also support ad‑hoc projects and contribute to continuous improvement across the finance function.

What you'll need to succeed
  • You can come from industry or practice — both backgrounds are welcome
  • Ideally, you will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with 3–5 years’ PQE
  • However, strong relevant tax experience is the most important requirement, and candidates without full qualifications will be considered if they have deep tax expertise
  • CTA qualification is an advantage
  • Strong working knowledge of Irish and UK corporate tax and indirect taxes
  • Experience with HMRC and Companies House
  • Excellent technical knowledge of IFRS, Companies Act and tax compliance
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel; ERP experience essential (Oracle an advantage)
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated, proactive and able to work on your own initiative
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
