With a non-judgmental, trauma-informed approach, your company understands the complex interplay of the factors that contribute to homelessness, including addiction and psychological needs.

Your new role
The Social Care Worker will provide support to young people and their families by treating them with respect and empathy and providing an atmosphere that always has an unconditional positive regard. You will liaise with family members, other agencies, significant others, and members of the MDT team on their behalf when required. You will promote the rights and responsibilities of each young person; as well as their physical, social, emotional, and ethnic welfare. You will provide effective care and support by acknowledging the challenges the young people face and dealing with situations sensitively. You will assess the needs of the young people in your care, advocate on their behalf and provide support in making appropriate referrals.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful as a Social Care Worker you will have a QQI level 7 qualification in Social Care, Youth and Family Studies or another related field. You will have 2 years of relevant experience. You will have availability to work Monday to Sunday with flexibility for unsociable hours. You should have good written, oral and IT skills. You will also have adequate awareness of policy and legislation to ensure a high standard of delivery of service.
