Project Manager with growing Cork-based Construction Contractor
Your new company
This client is a Cork‑based construction contractor headquartered in Little Island, delivering projects to high standards of safety, quality, and programme certainty. The company operates robust management systems, including ISO 45001:2018 for Safety and ISO 9001:2015 for Quality, and places strong emphasis on professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all projects.
Your new role
As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects from inception through to completion. You will lead project teams to ensure works are completed safely, to specification, on programme, and within agreed commercial parameters.
You will play a key role in implementing and maintaining Engage Construction’s safety management systems, ensuring compliance with EHS requirements, RAMS, and statutory obligations under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013. Where applicable, you will oversee PSCS duties, support EHS audits and inspections, and promote a strong, positive safety culture across projects.
From a quality and technical perspective, you will manage technical submittals, inspections and test plans, BCAR requirements (where applicable), RFIs, and project handover documentation. You will maintain close liaison with site teams, clients, and design consultants to resolve technical queries, manage standards of workmanship, identify snags, and close out non‑conformances efficiently.
Project management responsibilities will include programme development and control, daily site activity oversight, stakeholder communication, risk management, progress reporting, chairing site meetings, and maintaining all project registers. You will also work closely with the commercial team in procurement, valuation, variation management, and subcontractor payment processes.
