As a Retail Assistant, you will work within the National Museum of Ireland’s retail team, delivering excellent customer service within the museum shop and helping enhance the visitor experience.

• Provide excellent retail and customer service to all visitors.
• Increase turnover through strong product knowledge and proactive selling.
• Merchandise shop products in appealing and sales‑driven layouts.
• Use the EPOS system to process transactions.
• Handle stock processing, pricing, and general administrative duties.

What you'll need to succeed

• Ideally, 3 years’ experience in a similar retail role, including visual merchandising.
• Strong customer service experience and ability to communicate well with colleagues and visitors.
• Prior EPOS experience required.
• Knowledge of NMI collections or experience in cultural/tourism environments is desirable.
• Full Flexibility on days.
• Driving licence unless based locally
