Tender Admin Specialist (Semi-State) | 6 Months | Cork (Hybrid)

Your new company

This organisation is a major player in Ireland’s utilities sector, responsible for delivering critical infrastructure and services nationwide. With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and public service, they offer a dynamic and purpose-driven working environment. You’ll be joining a team that plays a key role in shaping the future of energy and infrastructure in Ireland.

Your new role

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing all administrative and transactional aspects of the tendering process in collaboration with the Supply Chain team. This includes managing key tender milestones, preparing and uploading documentation to platforms such as the EU Journal and eTenders, and issuing correspondence at both pre- and post-tender stages. You’ll support the clarification process, assist in opening and archiving submissions, and ensure all documentation is stored and maintained in line with internal procedures. The role also involves liaising with various business functions, identifying potential risks, and contributing to the continuous improvement of tender administration processes.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, tender administration or in a related business field. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines are essential. Familiarity with eSourcing platforms and public procurement portals such as eTenders and the EU Journal is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a proactive approach to identifying risks and improving processes, will be key to success in this role. A relevant qualification in business, procurement, or administration would be an advantage.
