What you'll need to succeed
5+ years’ payroll experience, ideally in a multinational or shared‑services environment
Proven experience managing complex payrolls with multiple pay elements
Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, tax, and statutory requirements
Experience working with third‑party payroll providers
Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll systems (e.g. Workday, SAP, ADP, or similar)
Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to manage deadlines and operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
High level of discretion and confidentiality
Payroll or accounting qualification (e.g. IPASS, CIPP, or equivalent) desirable
Degree or third‑level education in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
Proven experience in a global payroll environment
Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage

Your new role
As Senior Payroll Coordinator, you will report directly to the Payroll Manager / Senior Payroll Manager within GBS.
You will be responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of payroll across designated countries or entities, acting as a key payroll subject‑matter expert.

You will own end‑to‑end payroll processing, including the review and validation of payroll inputs and outputs, coordination of payroll calendars and statutory deadlines, and the processing of all payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, benefits, overtime, and leave.
The role includes indirect leadership of a payroll team of two, management of country mailboxes and payroll checklists, and responsibility for global legislative and change requests for management review.
You will ensure strong governance, controls, and statutory compliance, supporting internal and external audits, maintaining reconciliations and sign‑off procedures, and preparing payroll reports and variance analysis for Finance. You will also work closely with HR, Finance, employees, and external payroll providers to resolve complex payroll queries and ensure service levels are met.
In addition, you will play an active role in process improvement, payroll transitions, system enhancements, and global initiatives, while providing guidance and support to payroll team members.
