About the Company
A leading utility infrastructure specialist delivering projects across the power, renewables, telecommunications and water sectors throughout Ireland and the UK. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and ambitious Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Sandyford, Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience working on major infrastructure and utility projects while developing their technical and professional skills within a supportive and dynamic environment.

The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will support the delivery of mechanical engineering projects from design through to construction and commissioning. The role will involve collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering qualification, strong IT capabilities and a willingness to learn. Knowledge of electrical systems would be advantageous but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, design and delivery of engineering projects.
  • Support project teams with technical calculations, drawings and documentation.
  • Review engineering specifications and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Liaise with internal departments, clients, suppliers and contractors.
  • Assist with site inspections, surveys and progress reporting.
  • Help prepare project schedules, reports and technical submissions.
  • Monitor quality, safety and environmental requirements throughout project delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and project teams.
  • Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation.
Requirements
Essential
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full clean driving licence or ability to obtain one.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Desirable
  • Knowledge or exposure to electrical engineering principles.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar engineering software.
  • Previous internship, placement or project experience within engineering, construction or utilities.
  • Familiarity with project management principles.
