Your new company

Our client is delivering a major hyperscale data centre project for a leading global technology company. They are now seeking a senior Lead Electrical MEP Engineer to oversee mechanical and electrical activities on site.

This position operates on a 3‑weeks in Frankfurt / 1‑week home rotation, with flights, accommodation, and vehicle fully covered.

Your new role

This role sits just below Project Manager level and requires strong leadership, technical oversight, and confidence operating in a highly client‑facing environment.

You will lead the coordination, delivery, and technical governance of the MEP scope, acting as one of the primary interfaces with the end‑client. The role involves generating snag lists, overseeing installation progress, conducting take‑offs, and managing regular meetings with the client to ensure alignment on schedule, quality, and readiness for commissioning.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all mechanical and electrical works across the hyperscale data centre project.
• Act as a key point of contact for the end‑client, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Conduct take‑offs, technical reviews, and regular client meetings
• Ensure all works are delivered safely, to program, and in line with design specifications
• Oversee installation quality, snag generation, and commissioning readiness
• Monitor site progress, resource requirements, and reporting outputs
• Drive issue resolution and maintain strong communication across all stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong track record of delivering mechanical and electrical scopes on major projects

• Essential: proven experience on data centre projects

• Solid electrical engineering background

• Senior supervisory or lead‑level experience, close to project management responsibilities

• Excellent organisational, stakeholder management, and communication skills

• Ability to work confidently in a high‑visibility, client‑facing role
