Senior Content creator wanted for Public Sector

Your new company

You will be joining a large, purpose-driven organisation with a strong public-facing remit. Operating at a national level, the organisation works closely with multiple stakeholders and partners to deliver impactful campaigns, education initiatives and communications that influence behaviour and drive positive societal outcomes. The team is collaborative, fast-paced and focused on high-quality, audience-led communications.

Your new role

As Senior Content Creator, you will lead the planning, creation and delivery of high-quality, strategic content across social media and wider organisational channels. This is a senior, hands-on role with end-to-end ownership of content from ideation and scripting through to production, delivery and performance optimisation.
You will develop video-led, platform-native content that translates complex and sensitive information into clear, compelling and culturally relevant narratives. Working closely with marketing, communications and external partners, you will shape content strategies, manage editorial calendars, oversee production workflows and ensure all output is on brand, accessible and compliant.
This hybrid role offers the opportunity to influence large-scale campaigns, collaborate with diverse stakeholders and play a key role in purpose-driven communications.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A minimum Level 7 qualification in marketing, digital marketing, media, journalism or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in a content-focused role, with proven end-to-end delivery
  • Strong track record producing high-performing social media content, particularly video
  • Excellent scripting, storytelling and plain-English writing skills
  • Experience overseeing production workflows, shoots and post-production
  • Practical skills in filming, editing and/or motion graphics
  • Strong understanding of platform best practice and accessibility standards
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities and deadlines
  • Sound judgement in reputational-risk environments
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • A full, current driving licence
  • Desirable experience includes work in the public sector or purpose-driven communications, behavioural-change campaigns, paid social creative and working with presenters or spokespeople.

What you'll get in return

  • A senior-level content role with real influence and autonomy
  • Hybrid working model supporting work-life balance
  • Competitive hourly rate aligned to senior public-sector grades
  • Opportunity to work on nationally visible campaigns with real impact
  • A diverse, collaborative environment that values creativity, quality and integrity
  • Potential for contract extension, subject to business requirements
