Quality-focused role working with both offsite design/manufacturing and on-site construction teams

Your new company

This client is a growing Cork-based company based within the construction industry. Their primary focus is manufacturing large-scale timber frames on-site in their manufacturing hub, as well as working on construction sites to erect these products.


Your new role

This role is focused on Quality Assurance both in Design/Manufacturing, and on-site Construction. The successful candidate will work with the manufacturing team to ensure product matches original designs, and also oversee construction teams to ensure product is erected correctly. Other responsibilities below:

  • Conduct quality inspections of timber frame components during all stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Verify that materials and products comply with design specifications, technical drawings, and industry standards.
  • Record and report inspection results accurately using QC checklists and internal reporting systems (Document, Photograph, etc.).
  • Identify, document, and communicate non-conformances or defects to production and quality teams.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain calibration of measurement tools and testing equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the factory (to include providing constructive feedback and training /presentations to the employees).


What you'll need to succeed

  • Preference is for candidate to have experience in timber frame or offsite construction manufacturing (at a minimum, a genuine interest in working and learning in this space)

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations.

  • Gain familiarity (and understand) with the system’s standard details, quality systems and tools.

  • Competent in the use of measuring instruments (e.g., tape measures, callipers, moisture meters).

  • Methodical and analytical thinking.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong team player.
