Project Manager Sought for Major Build Projects – Lead, Drive, Deliver.

Your new company
A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee major construction projects from early pre-construction through to handover. The organisation delivers complex, large-scale projects and is expanding its project delivery team due to continued growth.


Your new role
As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, implement robust project controls, and act as the key point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and statutory bodies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the overall project programme, sequencing, and logistics plans.

  • Coordinate with design teams to ensure timely release of information and resolution of technical queries.

  • Lead and chair design, coordination, and subcontractor meetings.

  • Implement project controls including progress tracking, reporting, and risk management.

  • Oversee site operations and ensure adherence to project specifications and quality requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with contract documentation, statutory obligations, and industry best practice.

  • Work closely with commercial teams on cost control, forecasting, and value management.

  • Support tender reviews, procurement processes, and negotiation of contract packages.

  • Ensure all activities comply with Health & Safety legislation and project-specific requirements.

  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, design teams, and regulatory authorities.

  • Prepare accurate project updates, progress reports, and KPI-driven performance summaries.

  • Foster strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Lead, mentor, and support project teams, engineers, and site management personnel.

  • Promote a high-performance culture with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Identify training and development needs across the team.

    What you'll need to succeed

  • 5–10+ years’ experience as a Project Manager with a main contractor.

  • Proven track record delivering medium-to-large projects (€10m–€150m+).

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Strong technical knowledge of modern construction methods, Irish building regulations, BCAR, and industry standards.

  • Proficiency in project management software.

  • Strong commercial understanding with experience managing budgets, contracts, and procurement.
