Commercial Client & Delivery Manager role with growing Cork-based facilities management company
Your new company
Hays has been retained to recruit a Commercial Client Delivery Manager for our client, a newly established and quickly growing facilities, reactive maintenance and light civils company providing services to commercial and corporate clients.
The client's services include:- Reactive Maintenance (building fabric, electrical, mechanical).
- Fit-out and refurbishment works.
- Roofing inspections and repairs.
- Light civil works (car parks, drainage, external works)
- PSCS and project supervision services.
Your new role
This role is primarily focused on client management and commercial acumen, but requires a strong technical knowledge of construction and maintenance in order to fully service client requirements. Other requirements include:
Client Management and Business Growth:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial and corporate clients.
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Proactively identify and develop opportunities within existing and new client accounts.
- Convert client requests and enquiries into active work.
- Support the growth of repeat business and long-term client partnerships.
Project Delivery:
- Take full responsibility for jobs from instruction through to completion and final close-out.
- Plan, organise, and manage reactive maintenance and light civils works end-to-end.
- Develop clear delivery plans and realistic timelines in collaboration with internal teams.
- Ensure full job close-out, including documentation, handover, and completion requirements.
- Act as the key point of accountability for overall delivery success.
Commercial & Cost Management
- Work closely with back-office teams supporting scheduling, administration, and coordination.
- Liaise with site teams to ensure efficient and safe delivery of works.
- Ensure clear communication between office, site, and clients.
- Support effective planning and workflow across multiple active jobs.
This role is suitable for someone who has worked in a construction supervision background such as a Site Foreperson, Site Manager etc., who is seeking something a more commercial role where they can develop their own client network.
What you'll need to succeed
Key Requirements include:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in construction, civils, facilities, maintenance, or trade background (required).
- Strong understanding of reactive maintenance and light civils works.
- Experience managing client relationships and/or delivering works end-to-end.
- Good commercial awareness (pricing, budgeting, cost control, margins).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple jobs and priorities.
- Self-directed with ability to manage own workload across office and site activity.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Competent in IT systems (Excel, reporting tools, job tracking systems).
