Within their EV business, their portfolio of works ranges from 22kW installations to Ultra rapid 350kW charge points as well as Substation Builds to service EV Hubs.

The role will involve electrical maintenance, fault-finding, commissioning, and service support across electrical systems and infrastructure, specifically working on EV infrastructure projects. As a result, having some EV charging experience is considered an advantage.

Your new role

Based in the west / north-west region, this role is responsible for the maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, testing, and commissioning of electric vehicle chargers and associated equipment across commercial and industrial settings. Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out reactive call-outs and preventive maintenance; to comprise fault diagnosis, testing, component replacement, and repair across a range of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform electrical testing, including insulation resistance, continuity, loop/Ze testing, and verification, while following safe isolation and lockout/tag out procedures.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot electrical and control-related faults using diagnostic tools, technical drawings, and service documentation.
  • Support commissioning activities for new installations, including inspection, testing, documentation, and handover.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Recognised electrical qualification (level 6 or above) with the ability to demonstrate occupational competence.
  • Current knowledge of the Wiring Regulations
  • Experience in inspection, testing, fault-finding, installation, commissioning, or field service within commercial, industrial, utilities, energy, building services, or comparable environments.
  • Confidence in reading single-line diagrams and using electrical test instruments.
