A Site Manager is required in the Clare / Galway region for large multi-million construction projects.

Your new company
Our client is a large building contractor based in the Galway region with projects across Clare, Galway & Mayo. They are continuously working on various large-scale projects and are continually striving to grow their business by recruiting top talent. They are now seeking to recruit various professionals to supplement their own team on a large construction project in the Clare region. They have an immediate requirement for a site manager, quantity surveyor, site engineer and health & safety officer.
Requirements for the role of Site Manager in Clare.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience on a variety of projects, including commercial, hotels, retail, education, residential, hospitals, fit-out etc.
  • Degree educated in a related construction discipline or a trade background and relevant experience.
  • Main contracting experience is essential.
  • Proven track record of depth of experience of projects in the built environment within Ireland.
  • Experience of working on an exceptionally high level of finishes.
  • You will need to have experience in coordination of subcontractors, control programme with preparation of look-ahead programmes to facilitate the successful completion of the works on time.
  • You must be experienced and fully computer-literate and have proven experience in preparation of progress reports, chairing site meetings.
  • The ability to communicate with clients, architects, engineers, is essential.
  • Site set up planning and security, logistics management, deliveries and traffic management.
  • You will work alongside the Project Manager to adhere to the construction programme, including the effective sequencing of the finishing trades to maximise quality and minimise reworking, while monitoring resources, labour, plant, site set-up and other overheads.
  • Be fully familiar with current Health and Safety Construction regulations.
  • Liaise with the design team on construction issues
  • Raise RFIs with the design team
  • Issue requisitions for materials
  • Maintain the site diary / daily log activities
  • Monitor and control quality / work standards on site
