Project engineer required for a leading manufacturer of construction products in Cork

Your new role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing multiple building systems and products. These include offsite construction/MMC panelised and modular building systems manufactured from light gauge steel, hot rolled steel, concrete, ICF, and timber, along with new construction products.

Main duties and responsibilities will include :
• Conduct technical assessments on innovative construction products.
• Provide guidance on UK and Ireland Building Regulations to clients.
• Provide technical advice to clients re innovative building systems, and their ability to meet legislative requirements.
• Facilitate and supervise building product or system testing on behalf of Clients.
• Develop innovative construction products and building systems for clients to meet their brief.
• Assist clients achieve certification of their products/building systems
• Assist with implementation of product development strategies for new and existing Clients.
• Proactive team player with the ability to work independently in challenging projects and timelines.
• Highly service-oriented with good people engagement skills

What you'll need to succeed
• Honours degree in a relevant engineering/construction discipline.
• 5 year's relevant experience with at least 2 years of relevant experience in Testing, Certification, Construction or Manufacturing Environment.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations
• Competent project management skills and reporting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with and build relationships with clients
