Our client is an International Transport and Logistics Business based in Donegal. We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner / Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. This role will lead daily transport operations and manage a team of 17 drivers. The role focusses on efficient planning, EU compliance, and international transport activity, with strong exposure to Italy-focused routes.
Your new role
- Plan and optimise daily transport operations using MOVED
- Directly manage and lead a team of 17 drivers
- Ensure full compliance with EU & Irish transport legislation
- Manage European transport operations, with a strong Italy focus
- Monitor performance, costs, and operational KPIs
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Resolve operational issues and drive continuous improvement
- Proven experience in transport planning or transport management
- Strong knowledge of the European transport industry (Italy essential)
- Experience managing large driver teams
- Hands-on experience with MOVED or similar TMS
- Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills
