Your new company
Our client is a well-established manufacturing company based in Lissarda, Cork. Due to periods of leave cover, they are currently seeking a Receptionist / Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator looking for flexible assignments with full-time hours when required.
Your new role
As Temporary Receptionist / Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy office environment. You will act as the first point of contact for visitors and telephone enquiries, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience at all times. The role will also involve managing incoming and outgoing post, coordinating courier deliveries and collections, and providing administrative support across multiple departments.
In addition, you will assist with logistics administration, including responding to transport company queries and following up on proof of delivery documentation. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and databases, managing filing systems, monitoring and ordering office supplies, and maintaining employee and contractor records. You will also provide general administrative support to the accounts, logistics and management teams, while undertaking ad hoc duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience in an administration and/or reception role and be comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, visitors and external contacts. You will possess excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
You will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. A professional, friendly and flexible approach is key, as is the ability to quickly adapt and hit the ground running within a temporary cover position.
