Your new role

As a credit manager, you will play a key role within the company's credit function, with the key duties below:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the credit team
  • Ensure appropriate training and ongoing support is provided
  • Maintain high standards in credit control, collections, and account management, aligned with SLAs
  • Manage customer queries and escalations effectively
  • Negotiate and agree payment arrangements with customers
  • Engage with debt collection agencies and legal partners when necessary
  • Support colleagues across the business as required
  • Prepare regular reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
  • Represent the organisation at relevant industry forums and meetings
  • Conduct regular account reviews with credit controllers and sales management
  • Oversee and manage the debtor ledger
  • Deliver strong performance in line with company KPIs
  • Set and monitor customer credit limits and terms
  • Resolve customer account queries efficiently
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records
  • Ensure timely processing of all financial transactions
  • Adhere to SOX compliance requirements at all times

What you'll need to succeed

  • An experienced leader with 5+ years experience in credit management, along with 2+ years' experience in people management
  • Highly motivated and focused on achieving results
  • Strong understanding of debtor ledger management
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Relevant professional qualification (desirable)
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance (an advantage)
  • Full Category B driving licence with flexibility to travel
  • Keen to continuously develop their knowledge and skillset
