Permanent Legal Secretary role in County Clare

Your new company

As Legal Secretary, you will be working in a second generation family business and an award-winning legal firm based in County Clare serving clients throughout Ireland. This firm are focused on delivering a personal and professional service at all times and place their clients at the heart of the firm. This firm provide the highest quality of legal services to a broad range of clients in Company and Commercial Law, Litigation, Conveyancing and Probate. They are a small firm with a large reputation for successful results.

Your new role

As Legal Secretary, you will provide administrative support for one or more lawyers, effectively communicate with witnesses, clients, colleagues and partners, greet visitors and perform initial screening of clients, attend trials and type minutes, write case briefs and synopses of depositions, contracts and testimony. You will be required to conduct thorough statistical/ documentary research, source and verify important case intelligence, produce and file various legal documents such as appeals, motions or petitions, preserve an updated case record system, answer phone calls, take notes/messages and redirect calls when appropriate, maintain and update inventories of contact details, facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders.

This role requires you to join the team, on a permanent basis, on-site in Co. Clare.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally have recent relevant experience in a similar legal role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be communicating with a diverse range of individuals and stakeholders. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail is necessary to effectively meet the deadlines. You will also have strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Experience preparing meeting agendas and minuting is advantageous.
