IT Project Manager | Perm | 3 days onsite (Dublin city centre) | €DOE
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to play a central role in planning, executing, and overseeing key initiatives across an organisation we are currently supporting. This position requires a leader who can deliver complex projects on time and within budget while managing risks, ensuring quality, and fostering strong stakeholder engagement.
The ideal candidate will excel at both strategic oversight and hands‑on delivery, bringing expertise in project management methodologies, operational improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
- Manage a portfolio or programme of interconnected projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria aligned with organisational strategy.
- Develop detailed project plans, including milestones, resource allocation, and risk frameworks.
- Lead project kick-off meetings and ongoing progress updates.
- Monitor delivery closely, resolving risks and issues proactively.
- Conduct capacity planning and forecasting across multiple initiatives.
- Establish PMO‑level controls and governance.
Resource & Schedule Management
- Coordinate resources across IT, analytics, operations, finance, and other teams.
- Optimise utilisation and balance priorities across a multi-project roadmap.
- Adjust plans dynamically to reflect shifting business needs.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Define project quality standards and performance metrics.
- Ensure deliverables meet internal policies, external regulations, and industry best practices.
- Conduct project reviews, audits, and corrective action processes.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive process optimisation using Lean, Agile, or hybrid methodologies.
- Analyse workflows, data, and feedback to improve outcomes and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Communication & Engagement
- Produce clear dashboards, status reports, and risk updates for senior leadership.
- Act as a liaison between technical and business teams.
- Manage structured reporting, escalation pathways, and partner communication.
Governance
- Chair steering committees and governance forums.
- Produce executive‑level dashboards and insights.
- Negotiate trade-offs at senior levels and influence decisions using data.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop project teams, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
- Provide coaching and mentorship across teams and work effectively in a matrixed environment.
Additional Responsibilities
- Identify delivery bottlenecks early and implement solutions.
- Champion a culture of operational excellence and innovation.
Essential Experience
- 5+ years’ project management experience delivering cross-functional business and technology projects.
- Proven track record of leading complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in operations, process optimisation, or technology-enabled change.
- Strong background in managing budgets, schedules, risks, and structured reporting.
- Comfortable working with senior leadership and influencing strategic decisions.
- Practical experience with Agile, Lean, or hybrid delivery frameworks.
- Experience delivering digital transformation projects or enterprise system implementations.
The nice-to-have's:
- Developing dashboards, project reports, KPIs, or analytical insights.
- Continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of data protection and audit frameworks.
- Familiarity with formal change methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, ITIL).
- Ability to interpret metrics and operational data.
- Experience using BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Understanding of APIs, systems integrations, and basic technical architecture.
