Solution Architect / Senior Software Engineer - Contract - Hybrid
Who will you be working for?
You will be working within the tech operations' hub of Ireland's largest bank based in south Dublin. This financial national leader offers a full range of personal, business and corporate banking services. In recent years, their business has been restructured with the aim of becoming a customer-focused, profitable and lower risk institution, well positioned to support economic recovery in Ireland while seeking to generate sustainable shareholder returns. Working as a Solution Architect / Senior Software Engineer, you will be immersed in the technological and progressive culture that exists in the company.
What will you be working on?
You will be an integral part of the Customer Platform team and a valued member of the Customer Platform Design Centre of Excellence, who are responsible for the oversight and design of appropriate and optimally thought-out technology solutions for the Customer Platform Suite of applications. You will play a lead role in creating an appropriate and functional and technical solution design to realise the business requirements, whilst at the same time enabling best in class customer experiences aligned to the banks digital ambitions. You will work alongside a talented team of IT specialists, providing technical guidance on solutions that impact the customer domain and wider business platforms, ensuring that consistent design patterns are applied to all changes.
What are we looking for?
We are looking to speak with candidates with a technical background working as a software developer or engineer, along with a proven track record in application technologies and best-practices software design. You will be well versed in an array of technical skills including databases and Java microservices architecture. You will be an excellent communicator with strong influencing skills, along with the ability to communicate technical issues and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences. Furthermore, you will possess a good track record of business engagement and being the link between business and technical communities.
