AML Executive – Salary up to €65,000

A well-established regulatory body is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join its Regulation Department. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and enforcement of compliance standards, particularly in the area of Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT). Your new role

As a Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the operational standards and strategic objectives of the Regulation Department. You will be responsible for drafting reports, managing data, engaging with stakeholders, and promoting best practices in AML/CFT compliance across the profession.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft materials and attend various regulatory meetings.
  • Prepare internal reports for cross-functional and interdepartmental sharing.
  • Draft and submit statutory reports to external bodies.
  • Liaise with national and international stakeholders.
  • Manage data and conduct statistical analysis related to AML compliance.
  • Develop educational resources to promote AML/CFT best practices.
  • Deliver speaking engagements on AML/CFT obligations.
  • Provide guidance to professionals via the AML Helpline.

What you'll need to succeed

Essential Requirements:
  • A third-level qualification in law, compliance, AML/ML, accounting, or a related field, and/or experience in a statutory or professional regulatory environment.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven success in handling complex matters.
  • Strong proficiency in IT systems, particularly databases.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement.
  • High level of discretion and integrity in handling sensitive information.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Professional qualification as a solicitor, accountant, or related profession.
  • Knowledge of Ireland’s AML/CFT framework.
  • Familiarity with EU law.
