Electrical Field Service Engineer – Electrical Vehicle infrastructure Service + Maintenance
Your new company
Our client is a well-established infrastructure specialist delivering projects across utilities, power, telecommunications, civil engineering and EV charging infrastructure. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their EV division and are seeking an EV Field Service Engineer to support the maintenance and operation of EV charging infrastructure across the region.
Your new role
As an EV Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and commissioning electric vehicle charging infrastructure across commercial and industrial environments.
You will work across a variety of sites, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
Fault-finding, diagnostics and repair of EV charging equipment
Preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Electrical testing and inspection
Commissioning and handover of new installations
Reading technical drawings and single-line diagrams
Completing service documentation and reports
Participating in an on-call rota
Working closely with customers to resolve technical issues efficiently
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum QQI Level 6 qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Experience in electrical maintenance, field service, commissioning, testing or installation
Ability to read electrical drawings and use test equipment
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Full clean driving licence
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
