As a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, you’ll be an integral part of the station’s maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical systems and equipment. You’ll work across a wide range of plant components—from pneumatic and hydraulic valves to large rotating machinery—supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities.What you'll need to succeed
Essential qualifications and experience:
- Mechanical craft qualification or equivalent
- Experience in power station or heavy process industry maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and follow maintenance procedures
- Full Category B driving licence
- Hands-on experience with machining, fitting, welding, and workshop equipment
Desirable:
- 2+ years in Thermal, Hydro, or Renewable generation plant maintenance
- Certification in lifting/slinging equipment and manual handling
- Knowledge of LOTO and permitting systems
- Experience with Maintenance, Environmental, and Safety Management systems
- Technical services or civil works experience
- Contractor or staff supervision experience
