Payroll specialist

Your new organisation:

A client of mine based on the east side of Galway city is currently searching for an additional set of hands to join the payroll team, this role will revolve around supporting the payroll manager. The client is open to someone who is only looking for a 3-day working week but the role will eventually grow to a 5 day working week. They are perfectly happy for someone to join and work full time from the beginning but if you’re someone searching for flexibility for the next few months this vacancy may be for you!

Your new role:

  • Work as part of the payroll team to ensure timely management of weekly/fortnightly/Monthly payroll
  • Preparation of payrolls weekly
  • Processing employee deductions & additions with accuracy.
  • Calculating employee’s holidays, sick pay and working hours.
  • Dealing with any payroll related queries as they arise.
  • Retrieving RPN’s/tax credit certificates from ROS (Revenue Online Service) and checking the information.
  • Prepare and transfer bank files for electronic payment.
  • Submission of PSR files to ROS
  • Entering Payroll postings to the accounting system.
  • Generation of weekly & monthly ad hoc payroll reports.
  • Working knowledge of payroll legislation.

Your experience:

  • 2+ years withing payroll
  • IPASS/Payroll qualification is necessary
  • Accounts technician degree is a benefit but not necessary
  • Experience dealing with payroll queries
