Role available for newly registered Part III Architect with leading Cork-based studio

Your new company

Hays has been retained to recruit a Part III Architect for our client, a leading Architectural Practice based in the heart of the city centre. This practice also has offices throughout Ireland, and work in a multitude of industries including healthcare, sports & leisure, commercial and industrial.


Your new role

This client is primarily looking for a newly registered Part III Architect. The ideal candidate is someone who can lead projects across all phases and also someone who holds good technical skills. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead projects across the entire project lifecycle.
  • Maintain ongoing client engagement throughout the project lifecycle
  • Liaise with the design team throughout whole process and coordinate closely with them.
  • Develop project delivery programmes, plan resource requirements, and communicate needs to Directors and stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with the client’s brief, Irish Planning and Building Regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and other relevant statutory requirements
  • Provide leadership and direction aligned with the values and standards of the practice.
  • Supervise support staff throughout the project, with regular review of resource allocation.
  • Assess team and individual strengths, identify development needs, and implement appropriate training or support.
  • Manage projects to ensure efficiency and profitability.
  • Travel to other offices and project sites as required.


What you'll need to succeed

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who meets the following criteria:

  • At least 10 years of post-qualification experience and registered with the RIAI

  • Strong design, presentation, and project management abilities

  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and strong initiative

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and coordinating full Design Teams

  • Comprehensive understanding of Irish Planning and Building Regulations, Building Control processes, and Health & Safety legislation

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits is a plus.
